Mustang Restoration

Restored a 1965 Mustang from the ground up, overhauling the engine, transmission, and exhaust, updating the interior and systems, converting to electronic fuel injection, and repainting, transforming it into a modernized classic. More details below.

Objective: To comprehensively restore and modernize a 1965 Mustang, enhancing its performance, reliability, and aesthetic appeal.

Process:

• Engine Overhaul: Removed the engine for a complete rebuild, including flushing the motor block, relining cylinder walls, and replacing the head gasket and all seals.

• Transmission and Exhaust System: Rebuilt the transmission and exhaust system to improve efficiency and sound.

• Interior and Systems Upgrades: Updated the interior, shifting system, fuel tank, and distribution system for enhanced comfort and performance.

• Electronic Conversion: Converted the fuel system from carburetors to an electronic fuel injection system, including recalibrating all sensors and installing a new upgraded fuel pump.

• Electrical Rewiring: Rewired the entire vehicle to accommodate modern electronics and ensure reliability.

• Exterior Refinishing: Repainted the vehicle to restore its original luster and appeal.

Outcome: The 1965 Mustang was transformed into a virtually new vehicle, combining classic charm with contemporary technology and performance, resulting in a fully restored masterpiece ready for the road.
